  1. Hello John – what a wonderful website! I’m so glad we bumped into each other at Seatown. The name of the place I was struggling to remember, from where we started our descent into Lescun, was Puerto de lo Palo, clearly the Spanish name. We stayed at Camping Lauzart, just outside Lescun. It was the end of the season and they had no food for our picnics. We had to walk into Lescun late that night and beg some bread and buy some Mars bars. The next day we bought some really disgusting cheese from the cabanes d’Anasbere, but it got us up to Collado de Petrachema and on to Linza. This is the website for La Senda de Camille which took us to Lescun. http://www.lasendadecamille.com/index.php?L=en
And I’m sure you will know the book The Man who Married a Mountain by Rosemary Bailey, but I only came across it this summer, and really enjoyed reading it, so if you haven’t read it, I recommend it.
best wishes for many more trips to the Pyrenees.
    Sue
